Eiichiro Oda is a renowned Japanese manga artist, best known for creating the immensely popular manga series “One Piece.” He was born on January 1, 1975, in Kumamoto, Japan. From a young age, Oda showed an interest in drawing and storytelling, often creating his own manga as a child.
Oda began his professional career in the manga industry in the 1990s, working as an assistant to established mangaka such as Nobuhiro Watsuki, the creator of “Rurouni Kenshin.” In 1997, he launched “One Piece” in Shueisha’s “Weekly Shōnen Jump.” The series quickly gained a massive following due to its unique characters, engaging storytelling, and adventurous themes centered around pirates and treasure hunting.
